CFS Mumbai commenced operations in 1999 and is located within 19 kms of the JN Port [Nhavasheva] and connected with NSICT, JNPT, GTI terminals.With some noteworthy infrastructure like 6 45 MT reach stackers, RTG cranes, 24 reefer plug points and a 80 MT Weight Bridge, CSF Mumbai is the largest among the three CFSs area wise. It has 26 acres concreted / paver blocked floodlit yard, a fleet of 13 trailers owned and 150 trailers on long term contract for movement of containers, 100,000 sq.ft covered Warehouse with 33,000 sq. ft under construction and fully computerized sacilities.

CHENNAI CFS

Specialises in handling ODC, CFS Chennai started operations in 2000 and is strategically located (12 kms from Chennai Port and 19 Kms from Ennore & Kattupalli Port). Like the others, CFS Chennai has a container tracking system using RFID through GPS & GPRS technology. There is fleet of 20 owned trailers and 100 trailers on long term contract for movement of containers along with a 40,000 sq ft covered Warehouse for Export and Import of cargo.

KOLKATA CFS

CFS, Kolkata was established in 1994 and was the first CFS to be set up in the eastern region. A pioneer in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) connectivity in the eastern region, the CFS is connected to Kolkata Dock System & Haldia Dock Complex and has a Merry-Go-Round facility with dedicated Rail siding with own Rail Flats. Specialized in handling ODC, CFS, Kolkata is strategically located (2.5 kms from Kolkata Dock), and has modern facilities to cater to the needs of the customer 24x7.

Warehousing & Distribution, Kolkata traditionally being a stockyard operator specializing in ferrous material handling has slowly forayed in to Modern warehousing and distribution service provider consisting two units in Kolkata (WD-HRC & WD-Sonapur) near to port. Our facilities are strategically located (2.5 Km from Kolkata Dock and WD-Sonapur Unit internally connected to our CFS-Kolkata).

WD-Sonapur is connected via rail/road and currently providing following Services:

  • Rail Siding cum stockyard services
  • Bonded warehousing (Open/Covered)
  • General/Non bond warehousing facility along with stuffing/Destuffing services
  • ODC/Project cargo handling/Storage etc.

WD-HRC was started in 2008 and specializes in providing wide range of modern warehousing facilities like:

  1. On-wheel stuffing/Destuffing(through Dock Leveller),
  2. Modern selective Pallet Racking Facility,
  3. customized facility for manual cargo storage
  4. Value added services like Palletizing, Repacking, Wrapping, Choking, Lashing, Fumigation etc.

Balmer Lawrie, a market leader in Logistics, partnered with Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, world’s first Integrated Medical Device Manufacturing Eco System to provide the state-of-the-art Central Warehousing solution to its customers for seamless integration of their Logistics operations in Visakhapatnam. The Central Warehouse is spread over an area of 3 acres (130680 sq. ft). All warehousing activities of AMTZ is concentrated in Balmer Lawrie's facility. Hence, the term 'Centralised Warehousing Solution'. All the manufacturing units that have their individual set up within the AMTZ premises can store their goods prior to distribution in the warehouse and need not look outside for this core service.

Multi Modal Logistics Hub

Balmer Lawrie has set up a MMLH at Visakhapatnam in a joint venture (JV) with M/s Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) for handling EXIM and domestic cargo. The MMLH is set up on a 53 acre land. The unit also has a railway connectivity with a 1.30KM length track, where four racks can be handled in a day. The hub is the only facility to have direct connectivity with the port for seamless movement of laden import and export boxes to and from the port to the MMLH.

Services offered:

EXIM – CFS/ ICD, warehousing, cold storage / temperature controlled warehouse, open cargo storage, hazardous / on-hazardous cargo handling and truck parking.

Non-Bonded / non notified Domestic area – container storage, general warehousing, cold storage, open cargo storage, empty container storage, truck parking, repair and maintenance area for containers.

Integrated Check Posts

Balmer Lawrie manages Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) and is presently managing operations in two ICPs at Jogbani and Raxual in Bihar.
